Story
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all keeping safe and well during this Covid-19 outbreak. It is certainly a challenging time for us all. I am especially thinking and praying for those who are very sick or worse still have lost a loved one.
Most of you know from my Facebook posts that I have a passion to help vulnerable communities living in East Africa. Covid-19 has and will continue to hit our African friends hard for many reasons. The virus itself is not the only challenge...most can't work due to government lock-downs and therefore cannot feed their families. Most cannot social distance simply because communities live in very cramped conditions.
So instead of flying to Uganda this year, I am endeavouring to help the Fields of Life team raise vital funds by running and walking to Uganda which is only 10,700 km from Ireland..!! My aim is to raise €1,000 by asking you my friends to donate €1 for every kilometre I run or walk up to a maximum of €500. I am grateful to have found a generous donor who will match your donation euro for euro to reach that target if not more! So come on and join me on this journey....let's Walk Together Alone!
