Earlier this year, we tragically lost our teammate, friend, legend and one of the finest humans and athletes most have us will ever have the privilege to know, Graeme Egan to Cancer.

One of the best players to have ever graced the hockey pitches of Wales, GB, Bournville and Birmingham University, we have all been lucky enough to share a chapter in his life, with all the laughter, triumphs, losses and beer that went with it.

Our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt condolences to Sarah and the boys, and to all of Graeme’s family. He was and always will be totally adored by us all.

We are commemorating and paying tribute to his incredible life and fundraising in Graeme’s memory by bringing the BUMHC / Bournville class of ‘96-00 teams back together for a memorial match on the 28th August, 2021 ( the first of what we hope will be many matches to come ) and to support the incredible work done in the field of Cancer Research and Study by the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.
