Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

If you can please share my page and if you are able to make a small donation that would be very much appreciated.

1997 was a difficult year for me health wise. I was being physically sick, losing weight and suffering from more and more severe exhaustion. Blood tests and various other tests showed nothing. That was until I attended ministry of healing at my church. I was not 'healed' but the next blood tests showed abnormalities and I was diagnosed with Addison's Disease at the start of September 1997. I believe that this was my 'healing' because the not knowing was extremely difficult to live with. Now I could receive treatment and try to get on with my life. I have been extremely fortunate over the last 20 years to have my own private nurse, my wife Sandra. Without her patience, care and love I would not have got through it and I thank God for her. I also thank God for the support of the rest of my family and their patience with me. Sandra has treated me with my emergency injections  when needed and dresses various wounds that I continue to suffer from. You see that is now my main problem. After 20 years of steroid use my legs are a mess. They bruise with the slightest touch and the skin is that thin that it breaks very easily. I am very prone to infection and so cellulitis is becoming more of a problem for me. I would ask you to pray for my health over the next few weeks so that I can put in some reasonable training before the run. Thanks for taking the time to read my story.
