Story
I am raising money to build a safe home for Blake, Luke, Julian and their mom. They want to live in a safe neighborhood and have a yard where they can play together. I've been working for Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity for over 5 years now, and as each year passes our mission becomes more important to me.
When we interviewed her boys, Blake said he was most excited to finally have a room where he won't have to worry about roaches crawling on him. It reminded me of my childhood. I also had to live in places that were not safe nor decent.
I've set my goal at $100, but am hoping to raise more. $100 might not seem that much considering how much it costs to build a house, but it can help buy many things. You can buy:
- 10 packs of paintbrushes
- 4 gallons of paint
- 1.5 boxes of framing nails
- 1 interior door
- 1/2 of an exterior door
Will you help me build Maressa's home this holiday season?
