Story

Many of you may not realise but this about as personal as it gets for me. Who you see in front of you today, the fit, strong, determined man who produced one of the most outstanding body transformations with the help & guidance of Nick Mitchell (UP / Ultimate Performance), working for undoubtedly the World’s number one Private personal Training business, is a result of the Army & what happened to me whilst serving.

At 18, I graduated from the Army Foundation College progressing to join the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment with active service from 1999 - 2003

Whilst serving I was involved in a severe assault, which led to me spending 31 months in Army Medical Care. Whilst I later went on to make an almost full physical recover, I was however left with significant epileptic seizures as a result of my injuries & to my great sadness, I could no longer serve in the Armed Forces and had to leave.

During my time in various UK Military Hospital’s, I received not only the best, but also the most outstanding medical care possible anywhere in the world. My rehabilitation defined in me the belief that I could go on, despite medical opinion & still lead a full, active, fit, healthy & strong life, be it away from the Army. I am proud of the career I have carved for myself with UP since I left the Army, but I know that’s where it all started for me & I am what I am today, in the most part because of what I learned here.

Therefore it is now my privilege to be able to give back to those, who more often more catastrophically, find themselves in the same situation I was, more than 15 years ago with life changing injuries and having to find a life away after / from the Forces.

Help for Heroes (H4H) is a British charitable organisation which helps provide better facilities for British servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty. Whilst it did not exist when I was injured, the merit of the help from an organisation like this is quite literally life-changing to people whose lives are already changed irreversibly forever.

To show my support and gratitude and give back personally I have hiked to Base Camp Mount Everest in 2017 and completed BBBR18 in 2018 all for Help For Heroes. It’s now time for BBBR19 and cycle 350 miles again.
