My Story is simple.

I am a former Royal Marine and in December 2012 I had my own life threatening experience following a bleed on the brain and a stroke whilst cycling to work. Of course, I was not fighting for my country but within 3 hours of leaving my house, I was fighting for my life!

This was a very traumatic time for me, my wife Lisa and our two young boys who were 8  and 11yrs. I relied so much on my family, friends and hospital staff to look after me through a tough recovery period following brain surgery. I felt very helpless and had to deal with the effects of the stroke which thankfully were not obvious physical ones but were more subtle cognitive functions. These functions are slowly coming back to me after lots of hard work and frustrating times.

I am very lucky to be alive and feel ready to do something to help my brothers in The Royal Marines and Supporting Arms who may find themselves in a less fortunate situation than myself. Returning to 42 Commando, which is where I was first posted from training will bring back fond memories and whilst I am able to use my body to do this, I will do everything I can with it to reach my goal.

I understand that times are hard for some families but please have a think about how hard life must be for our injured Royal Marines and their families as a result of their courage serving for our country.

Please support me and donate to my cause, I will be very grateful.

Thank you so much
