Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful, let's find goodness in giving, this Ramadan and beyond Ramadan. Our journey is not a couple of years old, what started in 2008, is 14 years old now. ALHAMDULILAH.
Some people wonder why we do this, why we come back every year, with an appeal. Here's a verse from the Holy Quran to explain that:
Let there be a group among you who call ˹other˺ to goodness, encourage what is good, and forbid what is evil—it is they who will be successful. [Aal ‘Imraan 3:104]
It's a verse worth living your life, worth dying for. Isn't it? And, anyways, I carry such a huge load of sin, that this is my road to survival, this is my path to salvation, this is the way I can shed that weight till I am here in this world. And, a little clarification, I am not the one calling you to goodness, it's you all who are doing that. Around 500 of you at least, who have been calling me, keeping me alive even when I am not and you all have literally dragged me in this beautiful journey of yours. ALHAMDULILAH for having all of you in my life.
Let's move to our programs this year.
We have been quenching thirst together since 2008. This year, we want to build 500 wells, we have made over 350 by September 2021. We have another 150 wells to go.
For over 14 years, we have reached out to hundreds of thousands of families with the gift of food security and livelihood. This year, we are aiming to reach 200 families with food security, INSHALLAH. But, why feed people?
Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran (Surah Ad-Duha 93:10): “and do not chide the one who asks for help”, so how can we chide those in debt, those struck by calamity, those crushed by poverty?
Calling out to all of you to join #TeamRamadan this year, to take on #Mission100K to reach out to 100,000 people through your compassion and care, in your quest for finding goodness in giving.
