Story
Dear Friends & Family,
About 3 years ago, Mum told me about a girl who had her long hair cut and she donated the ponytail to be made into wigs for children who have lost their hair mostly because of having treatment for cancer related illnesses. ‘Wow, that’s amazing’ I thought. Immediately I told Mum that I’m going to do the same. I’ve been growing it ever since and now it’s ready for the ‘Big Chop’!
After looking around for a suitable charity we found the ‘Little Princess Trust’. Set up by Wendy and Simon Tarplee in memory of their daughter Hannah who sadly died in 2005. Wanting to do something in Hannah’s honour, they had thought about what had been some of the toughest times of her illness for Hannah and the one that stuck out was losing her hair. Like many little girls Hannah loved her hair and found losing it very traumatic but Wendy and Simon struggled to get wigs that were made for children.
Little Princess Trust depends on the generosity of others to pay for the wigs to be made. I would really like to help by raising as much money for it as I can, so I am asking everyone to sponsor me for having my hair cut and the ponytail donated to go towards making a wig.
So the date has been set, Saturday March 10 at 12pm. I’m excited and a little bit nervous too. What if my hair looks horrible? What if people laugh at me? Really, it doesn’t matter because I’m very lucky, my hair will simply grow back.

Thank you for reading & please give what you can.
Wish me luck!
