Epilepsy Fundraiser Men's Physique Challenge

Mens Physique Challenge · 1 November 2018
I have decided to set myself a tough personal challenge to raise money and awareness for a charity very close to our hearts - the Epilepsy Society.
My younger sister Sophie has suffered from this all her life and remains one of the most optimistic and happy people I know and is a very positive part of the life of my parents, brother and I - in particularly my dad who is the biggest legend and has taken on the responsibility of a full time carer and sidekick for her.
Over 600k people suffer from epilepsy in the UK, with 87 diagnosed a day! A third of whom have seizures uncontrollable by medication. Epilepsy Society work to diagnose the cures and provide support for the families. A personal concern of mine is the general lack of knowledge in society about seizures, with my sister having to leave multiple social groups and volunteer jobs due to staff uncomfortable to deal with her seizures. This is why I have teamed up with Epilepsy Society who support sufferers and families so they don’t have to deal with epilepsy alone.
Rather than running a marathon, I was inspired by a friend who went through a life-threatening trauma, and encouraged to compete in a Men’s Physique challenge. Different to bodybuilding, it is all about proportions (tiny waste, bigger muscles, symmetry etc). I have never done anything like this before but have been told it’s a physiological and physical challenge with tough daily commitment. I began training for my off-season at the end of October and should be complete by Spring/Summer time.
This involves: -
A very consistent, strict (and very boring) healthy diet and supps, 6 meals a day ranging from 4,500 kcals down to 1,600kcal when dieting
Weight training and cardio in the gym daily, sometimes morning and night
Obviously hours of food prepping!
Working with a top industry athlete/coach Charlie Garforth (who also happens to be an epilepsy sufferer) for weekly check-ins on weight and plan reviews
Eating low carbs, heavy workouts, and sticking to the plan no matter what.
Please help me reach my target! And if you see me eating the most unappetising looking meals in the world 6 times a day, try not to rub it in
