Story
As a young man, Gerry spent countless hours walking Hadrian’s Wall.
In AD 122, the Wall marked the farthest reaches of the Roman Empire. Nearly two thousand years later, Gerry, fascinated, would explore the ruins, searching for Roman inscriptions on the stones of local farmhouses, imagining life on the Wall.
In later life, friends and family would make a “pilgrimage” to the Wall to explore and share his passion.
