After both being poorly for a very short time at home they were admitted to Airedale General Hospital where they both tested positive for Covid-19.

Our beautiful Mum, Jean was admitted on November 5^th and after fighting so tremendously hard she passed away peacefully with her
family by her side on November 29^th.

Our fantastically funny Dad Mark was admitted on the 10^th and died suddenly but in no pain on November 17^th. They shared a bay in hospital for some time and we take great comfort that they could be together, which is all they ever wanted throughout their happy 41 years of marriage.

We would like to thank all of the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and
Staff on the ICU Ward at Airedale General Hospital with a special thank you to Heather, Megan, Tom, and Tim for their kindness and compassion and for fighting so hard for our parents.

With the above in mind we have set up this page (we also have
donations envelopes) for the funds to go directly to the staff at the ICU ward at Airedale. We have seen first-hand how demanding their roles are, how they go above and beyond what is in their job description, how they fought so diligently to save our parents and how, on a daily basis they are drowning in a sea of this deadly virus and are single handily holding their patients above water….. If this wasn’t enough then then show this same level of care to us and
we honestly couldn’t have got through some of our darkest hours without them. We hope any funds raised can offer them some little comforts on their breaks or even go towards refurbishing the family room. To give something back would mean the world to us and we know this is what our parents’ wishes would have been.
