Following a long illness John passed away on the 15th November. 

Before he was unwell, he was a regular volunteer on the Severn Valley Railway. He worked in the restaurant carriages, and then as a train guard. He was never happier than when he was on the railway.

He made many friends there, and it is where we would like him to be remembered.
