Story
Young People in Kensington & Chelsea Need Your Support.
For thousands of young people and their families, the summer holidays are fraught with danger. Young people at risk of criminal exploitation face weeks without the structure of school, home alone whilst their parents work.
Because of this local connection, we agreed to share their appeal with our network and hope you can make a donation of any size.
St Giles Trust are currently fundraising for their Summer Programme. St Giles Trust is a charity that empowers people who struggle with extreme disadvantage. We help young people and adults experiencing poverty, exploitation, abuse, struggling with mental health problems or caught up in crime, to change their situation and create positive futures.
To keep young people safe and engaged over the Summer Holidays, St Giles are running an SOS Summer Programme to inspire and motivate young people through a combination of positive cultural activities and support with their mental and physical health.
£50 could provide cultural experiences for
2 young people in our community, helping them to feel inspired and dream big for their futures.
£100 could support a young person to join
two days’ of activities, mentoring and guidance on the Summer Programme, helping them to stay safe and motivated during the high-risk summer months.
£500 could support one young person to access the whole of our Summer Programme, providing them with a life-changing opportunity.
