Story
On July 9th, 2020 George Flyde died very suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 71.
George was a lifelong Bradford City fan who had seen the Bantams through thick and (mostly) thin times.
He was in the main stand at Valley Parade on May 11th, 1985 with his two young sons Richard and Robert. They had a very lucky escape that day unlike 56 fellow fans who went to watch a football match and never came home.
Jenny, his loving wife of almost 50 years wanted to set this page up as a memorial to his life.
George was a passionate supporter of the Bradford Burns Unit and a regular contributor to PSBRU charity. We hope that you might donate on his behalf to ensure research into burns injuries and accidents can continue.
George will be sadly missed by all who knew him; we remember George and the two passions in his life – his family and his football club.
Thank you for all your support at this difficult time.
Jenny, Richard and Robert
