Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon in York on Sunday 20th October in aid of York Special Care Baby Unit Support Group.

Our little girl Pippa was born prematurely on 16th May 2012 (6 and a half weeks early).  Pippa spent nearly 3 weeks in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) In York Hospital.  Whilst in hospital Pippa received fantastic care from the Doctors and Nurses for which we are eternally grateful.

Pippa is an amazing little girl and we are extremely proud of how far she has come in such a short time.

I hope to raise at least £500 for York SCBU.

The York SCBU Support Group helps provide support to the Unit through the provision of specialised medical or surgical equipment and improved amenities and facilities. The Support Group also provides practical and emotional support for parents with sick or tiny babies on the Unit.

Many thanks for your support Gemma, Rob & Pippa x
