Story
It was Gaynor’s wishes for donations to be made to the Heart of Kent Hospice as they gave her great support when her own Mum passed away and comfort knowing she could also spend her last moments there. She wanted them to be able to continue the amazing work they do for others.
Heart of Kent’s story
We are facing a funding crisis like never before and face the threat of closure without your support. Its difficult to live with a terminal illness, but the coronavirus epidemic has made it so much more frightening. Our doctors, nurses and support teams are continuing to help over 880 terminally ill patients and their families, both in their homes and in the Hospice Inpatient Unit. We need to raise £300,000 every month to provide this care and almost all of this comes from fundraising events, our charity shops, and donations. As you can imagine, with the cancellation of fundraising activities and the closure of our shops, most of this income has vanished overnight. We want to be there for you so right now, we need you to be there for us. Were making an urgent appeal to help save our services!
