Story
The love of my life, Emmanuelle Soisnard (Manu), was a teacher at The Vyne School, Basingstoke for 25 years and has taught thousands of pupils and their parents too. She's much loved by her pupils, ex-pupils, parents and colleagues. Manu has touched so many people's lives in such a very positive way.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer in mid May 2019. She's a never smoker, was very fit, didn't drink and was very careful about what she ate. Manu was looked after very well by her oncologist, Dr Marcus Remer, and the team at the Basing Unit.
Unfortunately despite their efforts and her constant battling she has now decided to decline further cancer treatment and is now having palliative care by the fantastic team at St Michael's Hospice. They do so much great work at a time when people's lives are nearing their end, it's a calm and loving environment where the staff and patients interact as a family. Nothing is too much for them, they are proactive, caring and can solve any problem that comes their way.
St Michael's Hospice is a charity and in order for them to continue this amazing service they need to raise funds, and so we'd love it if you could make a donation via this page to enable them to continue helping people in the area. Manu has requested that you please put your name so that she can know who you are, as when she sees Anonymous this makes her sad as you are important to her.
At the moment their fund raising has been affected by Covid because their shops are closed, so let's get together and make them proud of your generosity.
This will mean so much to Manu as she's asked me to start this page and see it go live whilst she is still able to.
