Robin Hood Marathon & Half Marathon · 12 September 2010 ·

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Everybody who knows me knows that I love a challenge, so many of you are surprised that I've never done a half marathon before.

So this year, as part of my ongoing mid-life crisis I have decided to join my good friends Nick Riley and Andy Birch in the Robin Hood Half Marathon.  Of course I won't see much of them during the race as they'll only see me as a dot on the horizon, but I'll wait with the paramedics to meet them when they complete the course several hours later.

I am hoping that all my friends out there, and some of my enemies, will dig deep in their pockets as I am running the marathon for Sheffield Children's Hospital.  Come on guys, it's a local charity, but is also only one of four dedicated children's hospital NHS trusts in the country and is renowned for the brilliant work they do with children.

Give generously, you know I'm worth it.
