Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page for our Coopman Four Peaks Challenge in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation.

The Coopman team recently completed a 3 Day, Four Peaks Challenge. We climbed the four highest peaks in each of the four provinces of Ireland:

1. Carrauntoohil in Co. Kerry, (Munster)
2. Mweelrea, in Co. Mayo (Connacht)
3. Slieve Donard in Co. Down (Ulster)
4. Lugnaquilla in Co. Wicklow (Leinster)

We experienced the full, harsh elements of nature - torrential rain, howling wind, agonising incline ascents and descents, with associated discomfort, aches and pain that tested our endurance and mental fortitude.

Over the 3 days we covered:

 > 3 600 m in vertical ascent,
 > 55 km of hiking on slippery, stony terrain/trails,
 > 24 hours of tramping in mixed weather conditions,
 > 1 300 km Driving across 18 Counties of Ireland

Our goal was to raise vital funds for the Irish Youth Foundation.
