I am taking part in London - Paris cycle ride to raise awareness of the issues that people suffering with Alzheimer's/dementia battle with on a daily basis. Not only does it affect the individual but also their families and friends who have to adjust to their needs.

My father in law was diagnosed with Alzheimer's earlier last year which was a shock to his family and friends, as he has always been a sporty individual. Alzheimer's can affect anyone regardless of diet/physical condition, and i feel that although my wife and mother in law have to deal with the direct related issues of care, i can support them by raising awareness.
