Traveling as a Girl Scout gave me the chance to learn about myself, to meet girls from other parts of the country, and to expand my understanding of the world. Without the financial support of my council at the time, these trips wouldn't have been possible. My experiences traveling as a Girl Scout strengthen my travel confidence, and I dreamed bigger, which led to studying abroad in England and South Africa. From those bigger dreams, I became a world traveler to more than thirty countries, which included taking Girl Scouts to Switzerland and India as a volunteer. 

Travel helped me become a curious and compassionate citizen of the world, and I want more girls to have these opportunities.

Girl Scouts love to travel--from the field trips they take as Brownies to the global adventures they go on as teens. As The Lead Volunteer on our council's Global Action Team, I am raising funds for the Travel Scholarship to help girls become more knowledgeable, compassionate citizens of the world through global programming and travel opportunities. Scholarship funds provide girls with the resources to plan and pursue travel, from council-sponsored day trips to international journeys through the Destinations program.
