My Story
I had a pulmonary embolism at 28 (blood clots on the lung). I knew nothing of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and all of a sudden I was in a life threatening situation having quite a few blood clots stuck in my lungs. Thankfully, brilliant NHS care and support got me back to health but unfortunately I had another clotting attack in my mid 30s. Now I have to take blood thinning drugs for the rest of my life.
There is more research and public awareness / education on the risks of clotting to do; so people won't have their lives changed through disability or worse.
I am very lucky, I have always been a runner and still continue to run in races....so this is my small way to help raise money for charities.
Thank you for your support and the lives you are helping through donating to charity! :)
