EMERGENCY MEDICAL APPEAL · 10 April 2013

Forever Hounds Trust is the UK's largest independent charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and homing of abused, abandoned and unwanted greyhounds and lurchers. Forever Hounds Trust operates nationally and homes around 350 of these special dogs every year.

Story

We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported our Emergency Medical Appeal so generously. We launched the Appeal last year to help us meet rising costs of providing vital veterinary treatment and care to greyhounds and lurchers in need.

At the end of 2013 the Appeal was further boosted by the Big Give Christmas Challenge, an online matched giving scheme which raised over £7,000 in just a few days. This takes the grand total raised for our Emergency Medical Appeal in 2013 to over £17,500.

This amazing figure has gone a long way to helping to provide both routine and emergency veterinary treatment, and is deeply appreciated by all at GRWE – and most especially, our dogs!

Our work to care for needy hounds continues, of course, and we hope that we can count on your support in 2014 (and beyond!) At the moment we really need to find more homes for our very special dogs - please find out more by visiting us at www.grwe.com. You can also join us on Facebook, and help us to share our dogs’ stories, at www.facebook.com/GRWEGreyhoundRescue
