Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As an overweight, unfit, lazy backrow cornet player (it's a brass band thing) these distance running events don't come naturally to me. BUT... as part of the amazing Huddersfield Marathon Band (for the fantastic deafblind charity Sense) in 2014 I took part in my first half marathon at Oulton Park and became a Guinness World Record holder completing my first London Marathon.

So this should be a doddle right? Well, no, having spent the time since the marathon celebrating and self-congratulating my fitness has disappeared so the 2015 GNR will be a huge challenge again.

Sense are an utterly amazing charity (and lovely people too) who help deafblind children and adults across the UK. Every penny raised makes an enormous difference so please give generously.
