Story
With food and fuel costs going sky high, many people in Cam & Dursley are struggling to afford the basics.
This autumn we will all receive energy rebates. If you are fortunate enough not to need it, please consider donating it instead to help those local people who desperately need support with their food and energy costs.
GL11 is here to help. We have launched a weekly Cost of Living Support Day, with our Café open every Wednesday 10am to 7pm as a warm space serving £1 hot food all day, alongside access to our support and advice services to help people under stress.
Working with local partners, our ambition is to replicate this support seven days a week at venues across Cam & Dursley.
We have also opened a Community Pantry, alongside our Food Bank,
where for a £4 membership people can get over £15 worth of food shopping, to make sure that everyone has enough on their plate.
This winter, as the cost of living crisis hits home, we expect to be feeding hungry people more than ever before, making sure that everyone, especially families with young children, will always have a place to turn to in a crisis.
Can you help by donating all, or part of, your energy rebate if you don’t need it? GL11, and our local partners, will make sure it gets to those who need help with food, energy and wellbeing support. Together we can make a real difference.
Thank you for donating – we couldn’t do this without you!
