In Dennis Lowndes' honour Howard Turner, Kerry McQueeney and Vicki Lowndes are attending The Big Sleep Out 2 to raise funds for the amazing Dons Local Action Group (DLAG).  Thank you for Sponsoring us in Dad/Dennis' honour.  Here is why we are attending The Big Sleep Out 2:

"In May Dennis was due to start driving for DLAG.  In Dennis' honour I now volunteer for DLAG as a driver, and in a moment of madness I agreed to support DLAG further by attending The Big Sleep Out 2!!!" Howard

"It’s an honour to be doing The Big Sleep Out 2 for DLAG in honour of Dennis and to support my friend, Vicki, on her first birthday without her Dad" Kerry

"The 3rd December 2022 will be my first birthday without My Hero, My Dad, My Full Kit Wan*er.  Dad did so much for the community so it feels fitting to spend this year raising funds and awareness for DLAG, at Plough Lane, rather than celebrating without him.  Plough Lane has always been a very special place for all of us, but little did we know that when Dad attended the AFC Wimbledon Kit Sponsors Dinner on Tuesday 26th April 2022, as he did every year, that this was his last ever night out and he was spending it at his beloved Plough Lane with fellow Dons.  The next day Dad was taken to hospital and after just five short weeks the world became a sadder place when Dad died at home surrounded by his family.  We've added some photos of Dad for you to enjoy in the gallery” Vicki

The Dons Local Action Group provides food parcels, household goods, furniture and appliances to those in need in our communities.  They also donate laptops through their Keep Kids Connected campaign for children who need access to online learning.  DLAG work in partnership with a wide range of organisations throughout the boroughs of Kingston, Merton and Wandsworth in South West London.  With their help, DLAG are building a diverse and resilient community network to tackle the effects of food, furniture and digital poverty.  Please help us raise money to support their work and the work of their partners who support the homeless in our boroughs.
