Story
Hello all, Freya and Orla here! On Thursday 16th we went out at 8pm to show our appreciation to all the amazing keyworkers and the NHS superheroes by playing 'Somewhere over the rainbow'. The next day, a lovely neighbour dropped a card through the door with a generous donation. She asked us to put it to a charity of our choice. It was so kind and heart warming and it inspired us to do more each Thursday to show our appreciation, but also to spread some love and positivity.
We love music but learning a new song each week will be a challenge for us both and we will need to overcome nerves too.
Our neighbour has kickstarted the fundraising and our initial target was £200 but we are now aiming to raise as much as possible for our amazing NHS! We have chosen the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity which is dear to our hearts.
University Hospitals Birmingham Charity supports patients, families and NHS staff across five hospitals in the West Midlands - Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull and NHS Nightingale Birmingham.During the current COVID-19 crisis, your donations are helping us to support our NHS superheroes.Delivering care packs to nurses, providing "wobble rooms" for staff to get psychological and emotional support, helping patients to stay in contact with their families by providing tablets with video conferencing apps and much more.
Thank you so much for all the support, we are so grateful!
