The Freedom to Dream Ride
A motorcycle ride out of the Valley of Death and down to the Pacific Ocean to raise awareness (and money) for War Child.
They will ride from Las Vegas to Los Angeles taking in Death Valley, Yosemite, San Francisco and down the PCH (Pacific Cost Highway) to Santa Monica.
It's The Long Way Round - that reminds us of a couple of guys who did a similar ride to Mark and Max's original round the world jaunt :) Maybe they were inspired by Max and Mark's trip....
Mark Galer and Max Wiseberg are experienced world motorcycling adventurers who have previously circumnavigated the globe raising over £20,000 for Save the Children and The Downs Syndrome Association from 1986 to 1988. Max will manage the charitable donations while Mark will create Motorcycle Diaries of the adventure and publish them to his YouTube channel so you can be a part of this adventure.
They both still have (and ride) their 80's Motorbikes they used for their circumnavigation of our little planet, but Max hasn't spent much time on his in the last 25 years or so. For this ride they are hiring Harleys - how else to ride across America. Let's hope Max can remember how to stay on his bike!
Do have a look at the gallery (click top right of the pic above) for a few more pics.
All the money raised here goes straight to the Charity. The ride is completely self funded.
War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. They protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones. By making a donation, you will be making a difference to thousands of children whose lives have been turned upside-down by conflict. You’ll help War Child provide the emergency care and support they need to overcome the emotional and physical toll of conflict, as well as access to services to catch up on lost education that will help to transform their futures for the better.
Please give generously.
