Story
Frederick was married to his loving wife Maureen for 43 years and in that time they had 3 gorgeous children, Karen, Tina & Lynette. These were the most important things in both their lives, Fred was so proud of his family and his girls he named his business after them K.T.L Taxis. Fred dedicated his entire life to his family and spent his entire life working hard to provide a stable & loving home. Fred was a strong man both physically and morally, and he has had an impact on so many peoples lives that he probably never even realized. On the 3rd July 2013 dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer which was difficult enough to deal with, but unfortunately the prognosis was also very difficult to deal with, dad was given a matter of weeks to live. Dad was so brave & even through all this he was only ever worried about his family. Dad had accepted he was going to die, and he was not afraid. Dad made his 63rd birthday on the 24th July and we all spent a wonderful day with him. After this dad's health took a turn for the worst, we had more bad days than good, dad stayed in bed. Mum and dads close friend, Cribby cared for dad. Cribby cared for them both, she will never know how much it meant to us all, we couldn't of got through this with out her. Then on the 12th August we had to call an ambulance, dad was in a bad way, they took dad to Southend Hospital, we were by his side the entire time, dad past away peacefully on the 13th August 2013 @ 01.50am. The Estuary ward did not only take in our dad they took us all in, they were outstanding. The Estuary Ward looked after our dad, he was comfortable, had dignity, and had his entire family with him. My mum has been our strength even though she does not realize & dad would be so proud of you. It was a nasty disease that took you from us dad, so many years have been robbed from both sides. We miss you so much, but we understand why you couldn't stay. Our Lives will never be the same again, but if I promise anything, it is that you still live on through us, every step we make, every breath we take and every morning we wake.... you live on!! Missed and loved by all, Maureen, Karen, Tina, Lynette, your sons Vic, Steve, Rob. Your grandchildren, Carl, Shannon, Reece, Katrina, Connie, Robert and your new great grandson named after you Freddie- Lee, and adopted sister Cribby.
