In June 2016 I will be traveling to Uganda with a team of students to help build a playground for the children out there, who have known it is being built for them for six months and are very excited! The opportunity to play and be creative is incredibly important to every child's cognitive development, and I'd love to be able to contribute to their lives in this way.

Whilst there I will also be trekking out through harsh and varied terrain to go and see the last remaining Silver-back Gorillas in the wild. Part of the money raised will go the permit to see these incredible animals, and since these treks have started not a single gorilla has been shot by poachers.

The charity I'm working with, East African Playgrounds, really know their stuff and have excellent ethics when it comes to helping support the community out in Uganda, so all the money I raise for them will be in great hands. I've set myself a high fundraising target because I know if I reach it what an incredible difference it would make to the children in Uganda.
