Story
Ken Fowler sadly passed away on 1/3/21. He was a familiar face around Grimsby Hospital having worked as a volunteer in various departments at Grimsby Hospital for 25 years. Ken worked on the front desk, as a runner for X-ray and was most recently working, prior to Covid-19 restrictions, in the Audiology department.
Ken was described by everyone who met him as a true gentleman with a dapper dress sense. He always had a story to tell, a sunny disposition and will be missed by all those who knew him.
For the last few years he found great joy from “Not home alone”, this incredible charity organises social events for people over 65 who live on their own. Ken had many outings arranged by the charity with the Christmas day meal the highlight of the year. It is because of this that we have decided to set up this Just Giving page to raise donations and awareness of such a worthy charity, especially in these recent times where loneliness is affecting more and more people.
