Story
Oliver was diagnosed in 2007 aged 7 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He fought a very long and hard battle for five years and died on the 24th September 2011 aged 12 and a week.
His full story is available to read on the Be Child Cancer Aware website.
Oliver underwent all his treatment and his Bone Marrow Transplant at Sheffield Childrens Hospital.
The Beads of Courage is a wonderful programme providing beads for children undergoing treatment for cancer to mark their bravery and courage and give them a lasting treasure of their individual journeys. £3250 will fund the programme for a whole year at The Sheffield Childrens Hospital hence my target.
Further information on Beads of Courage, Oliver and the work the Be Child Cancer Aware do can be found via the charity page link above.
Oliver was my son and my world, i miss him with every beat of my heart and will until the day i die. I fundraise in his name so that he will never be forgotten, he was a wonderfully kind and funny boy and this seems a fitting tribute to his memory.
