In January 2021 our lovely grandson Barney was born. He was a beautiful baby, our first grandchild, and a perfect start to the new year.

All was well until 3 days later, when he suddenly and unexpectedly died. No reason has yet been found, despite all the tests.

You can imagine the shock and grief we feel as a family, especially his parents.
He will always be our first grandson and remain in our hearts.

There is nothing we can do to bring Barney back. My hope is that we can contribute to the research to help prevent other families from going through this pain and to support those who are grieving after their loss.

Teddy’s Wish charity provides counselling and support for parents in this situation and also contributes to research into the causes of baby loss.

I shall be doing a tandem skydive on 18th June 2021 - a new, scary challenge for me.
