Running to Catch Up: Sponsor me to help improve education in the North East

Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·
Hello!
For those of you that don't know, I'm a languages teacher at a school in Middlesbrough. I got my teaching qualification through an organisation called TeachFirst who train teachers by placing them into schools that have a need for committed, inspirational teachers, and now I'm trying to raise money by running the Great North Run (in under 2 hours 30 minutes :S) so that they can continue, in a variety of ways, to chip away at the educational inequalities that our young people are faced with every single day!
This is something that I am profoundly passionate about as I have personally benefited, and will continue to do so for the rest of my life, from extremely dedicated teachers that went above and beyond to help me realise my potential and gain invaluable life experiences. This is what I want for my pupils, and others like them. If you think that 'minding the gap' is actually pretty important and can have a long-lasting impact on someone's future, or that challenging the way a person may see themself and the world around them is a worthwhile cause, then please donate and help improve the life chances of our young people.
Thank you,
Fran :)
