Story

500k by 17 May

I'm doing this in memory of Doug Radcliffe,  who volunteered for service during the Second World War when he was just 17. You can google his many heroic achievements, both during the war and after... For me Doug was a colleague, friend and mentor. He was about 80 when I first met him and I will always remember his energy, his attitude and his compassion. Oh... and his wine! He always made me laugh, always inspired me and always helped me to put things in perspective. Doug was part of a Lancaster crew, so this one's for him!

Help me celebrate 80 years since the first flight of the iconic Avro Lancaster and continue to share the incredible stories of the crews by fundraising for the RAF Museum. Your sponsorship will enable the Royal Air Force Museum, a registered Charity, to continue to share the stories of the crews who showed incredible bravery flying missions for Bomber Command. The Royal Air Force has shaped our nation.
