Story

Firstly, we really appreciate your donation as a gift for Florence's Christening. Thank you for supporting this charity that has been so important to us.

It's every expectant mother's dream to experience a smooth pregnancy and be excited about their new arrival. For me, it was a time marked by an illness called Hyperemesis Gravidarum. It's a condition characterised by extreme, constant sickness and exhaustion, and I needed hospital treatment carrying both children. There are no cures, only antisickness medications to manage symptoms, and it's a condition that is still very much misunderstood and not well researched.

Thankfully, I was able to access help through Pregnancy Sickness Support. They made me aware of a range of different medications, and their peer supporters were very understanding of my condition. It's thanks in no small part to their assistance and compassion that I was able to cope and live a fairly normal life.
