It’s World Autism Acceptance Week 2022!
This year again I’ve decided to raise money for Space, a wonderful charity local to us in Chester. Last year I knew they were amazing and did amazing things but because of the pandemic we hadn’t made full use of their facilities and events. This year that has completely changed, they play such a massive role in our lives and we want to do everything we possibly can to support them.
If you don’t have disabled children you probably wouldn’t realise how difficult celebrating key moments in the year can be, Space provide things for our children that they otherwise just wouldn’t have. Thanks to Space this year the children got to visit Santa, go on an Easter Egg hunt, celebrate Halloween, celebrate Mothers and Father’s Day and have birthday parties! They’ve got to play together in the soft play centre, do arts and crafts, dance lessons, animal therapy, toddler group, after school clubs, the list goes on!
Everything they do is affordable and so inclusive and they offer children access to wonderful family experiences that their disabilities would otherwise make off limits to them. They also offer support and advice to adults. In short I can’t say enough good things about them and we are so lucky to have them on our doorstep and we want them to stay there forever, so we would very greatly appreciate any donations you can give to their fantastic work!
