Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Last year we decided to embark on a venture that Fitstuff as a team have never been involved with before, and raise money for a cause close to our hearts - Pancreatic Cancer Research. We were doing this in support of our dear friend and run club member, Steve Carpenter, who was diagnosed with this dreadful disease in September 2019. Sadly, Steve lost his courageous battle on the 23rd December 2020.

Unfortunately fundraising was difficult last year with the unprecedented circumstances. However, we will continue our efforts this year to reach our target, and your donations are greatly appreciated.

Sadly, pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all cancers. Unlike many cancers, this figure has barely improved in 40 years. Yet, despite its high death rate, and lack of improvement in chances of survival, pancreatic cancer has attracted little research funding (currently less than 2% from the major research funding bodies).

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is dedicated exclusively to supporting research to improve diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

Please be involved - however you can - or share our link.
Thank you for your support.
