**Message from Simon Hughes, Manager of First Base**
"On behalf of everyone who uses our centre I would like to say thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas campaign and throughout 2014. The money we raised helped to provide support for people during what can be a very difficult and lonely time of the year and will help us to continue providing that support throughout 2105."
The most important gift you can give this Christmas is a donation to First Base Day Centre. Every year around this time, hundreds of people in Sussex face Christmas whilst homeless and alone.
We believe that sleeping on the streets is a dangerous and unacceptable situation to be in, and we are shocked that 40 years after we opened our doors, we are needed now more than ever.
First Base Centre in Brighton offers a lifeline to people in crisis. We provide a warm welcome, food and showers, and vital one-to-one support to help people find a home. Please support us today.
£10 pays for breakfast and lunch for 10 people.
£30 pays for a hot shower, laundry and a single personal care package.
£120 pays for a day’s running cost at the centre during the festive season.
