In January is my last chance to take part in the crazy adventure known as Race2Budapest. Basically, my task is to get myself, and Angus, from a random location in Scotland all the way to Budapest in Hungary. 

The catch is not to spend money on transport, or even to organise anything in advance. Its over 1200 miles which apparently takes at least 14 days to walk. We have 5 days to get there so here's hoping that we manage to catch some lifts along the way. 

Why am I doing this? Well other than I like to do crazy challenges, any money raised will go towards the Charities Campaign at St Andrews. This year they are fundraising for 3 amazing charities; Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre, Nightline and Unicef. Anything you can spare would be gratefully received as it will make a difference! 

I'll try to keep folks updated on our progress as we trek across Europe, and likely get lost as we only speak passable French and German between us. However, closer to the time I'll post a link to a map where you can see how far we've gotten and how we compare to the other 200 racers from St Andrews.
