Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am doing a wing walk on the 30th September in Essex, I am taking Peyton with me to show her that no matter what life throws at you you can be brave and you can do anything you want she has fought hard with her peers and over come judgement by others, and obstacles in her everyday life. TS is underfunded and not portrayed properly in the press. It's not just random words or twitches it's the fatigue the anxiety the depression the intrusive thoughts the compulsive actions, that impact children and adults daily with this condition alongside the co morbidities that come with it for example ADHD , ASD , FND or in Peyton's case PNES/NEADS ( Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures ) . There is so much more I can say about TS but not enough pages to write on ....Many people are forced to travel hundreds of miles to receive TS care, and others are forced to pay privately. Which unfortunately we all can't do so Until change happens on a policy level we are all here campaigning for change . Although Peyton has a diagnosis and I fought every service for that ...that's all we had, no support just learn to get on with it. So we want to give back to the people that helped us fight our way through the system and gave us hope when we were ready to give up ... tourettes action. 1 in 100 children have TS the same as autism but not as much awareness and support. Thankyou for taking your time to read.
