Mollies Raffle for Action for AT.

Many of you know Mollie was born with a rare disease called Ataxia, a progressive and debilitating movement disorder that effects physical activity, fine motor skills, speech and some internal organs. Much to our devastation we have recently been given the heart breaking news that it is extremely likely she has a condition called Ataxia Telangiectasia. 

We were not expecting this after previously being given the all clear for ‘AT’ in 2019 - but due to new genetic testing techniques they have now found a genetic mutation in Mollie that they have not seen in anyone before. 

We have a further wait, and more tests for Mollie, but we urgently need to raise money and awareness for this rare disease that we do know is likely to start to deteriorate from the age of 5... Mollie is 5 in September. As a parent to write this down in words is awful but to know it’s our reality - you cannot begin to imagine this feeling. 

We live in hope that with some extremely clever people out there - and multiple research studies taking place right now - one day there will be a treatment or cure for AT for Mollie and the many other kids like her.

We will be fundraising throughout the year, as restrictions begin to lift but to kick start this we are hoping to raise some money with an Easter Raffle - with some great prizes!
