Flyers get Thrown In at the Deep End!
As part of our ongoing fundraising efforts in support of our partner charity CHAS Scotland, we like to try and come up with novel ways in which to raise funds for this local charity. We also like to include the fans where possible, as this is a #TeamEffort after all.
So in addition to the money we raised from our CHAS Charity Calendars 2016, we have one other main fundraising event to arrange and thanks to our friends and sponsors at Deep Sea World we have an idea that we think will go just swimmingly!!
We are asking you the fans, to help us raise £2000 for CHAS and in return 4 of our players will face their ultimate fear! That’s right, they will be taking the plunge in to the deepest darkest waters at Deep Sea World, North Queensferry…..and they won’t be alone….. swimming alongside them will be 3m Sand Tiger Sharks, Angel Sharks, Stingrays and Tope!!
That’s right, on Wednesday 24th Feb, four of our very own Fife Flyers will be donning their wetsuits and jumping into a tank full of sharks, all in the name of charity! So if you’d like to see the lads face their fears and raise lots of money for CHAS Scotland, please donate via the Just Giving Page we have set up to send them all to their fate!
The 4 players who have kindly nominated themselves and who will dive into the deep end with both feet, a dry suit and an oxygen tank, are:
Justin Fox
Michael Dorr
Patrick Cullen
Nicolas Rioux

We’ll invite local media along to the event as well as filming the event so we can post the dive on Flyers TV later in the day!
So if you want to see the boys face their fears and raise lots of money for CHAS Scotland, please donate online!
Please share our social media posts regarding this event as we’d like to raise as much money as possible for CHAS Scotland. All donations are greatly appreciated.
A special thanks to the team at Deep Sea World for making this happen, they have been a fantastic sponsor throughout the past 2 seasons and we are very grateful to them for this awesome opportunity!
A Fife Flyers Spokesperson added “We are always keen to some up with new and interesting ways to raise money for the charities that we support. When our marketing team came up with this idea at the start of the season, the coaching staff thought it would be a hard task to sell, but the players have been awesome and really got behind the idea. We can’t thank Deep Sea World enough for this awesome opportunity, and we will be capturing the whole thing on video so that anyone who has donated can share this experience with us.”
