Story

The students of Barnwell School and their Songwriting Club have written a song to support a local charity "Feed Up Warm Up" at this most difficult time of year for many.

This song has been promoted within the school and the students are hoping that those who have listened or downloaded, might be able to give whatever they can to support this vital charity to their local community.

Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. They operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with them. They offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. They support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. They also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies.

If you wish to listen to the song, it can be found at this link.

Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.
