Miles for Opportunity 2020 · 1 August 2020 to 31 August 2020 ·

This August, we challenge you to keep the lock-down exercise going and walk, run or cycle (or dog-walk, swim, roller-blade...) as many miles as you can. Help us raise the vital funds we need to continue helping some of the world's poorest people.

Story

Every day in Africa men, women and children travel thousands of miles to escape war, poverty and oppression. They leave their homes and everything they know, in search of the opportunities they need to create a better life for themselves and their families. I am taking part in this challenge to ensure that these brave and ambitious people are provided with the life-changing opportunities they need to begin rebuilding their lives. Right now, in the midst of the global pandemic, the support provided by Opportunity International UK is more vital than ever.My target of £150 would enable 5 refugee families to begin rebuilding their lives. With access to loans, training and support they will be given the opportunity they need to work towards a better future. To find out more about the work of Opportunity International UK or join this challenge, please visit: www.opportunityinternational.org.uk. Thank you!
