NHS Horseshoe Hearts · 6 May 2020
So I’m a farrier based in Thorney, Cambridgeshire and wanted to show my appreciation to the front line workers of the NHS. Thorney has a community Facebook page that I decided to share my idea with, which was forging hearts from old horseshoes and stamping them with NHS to show some appreciation and support. The idea was to make a total of 30 hearts, each heart could be purchased for a minimum donation of £10 on the Just give page for Head to toe charity. I was overwhelmed with the response of people wanting these and my intensions were never to do this to make money, however there was such a substantial amount of interest I wanted to still keep giving so I am now still selling them for £20 and every 4 I sell the 5th heart would be given away for a minimum of £10 donation to the NHS.
I am raising money to help support the front-line NHS staff working tirelessly to care for us, our families and loved ones during the Covid-19 crisis. Head to Toe is the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) Charity. We are dedicated to helping our amazing NHS staff deliver the very best care and support to those in our community with physical, mental health and specialist needs.
