The Big Apsley to Farnham AWalk

The Big Farnham to Apsley Walk · 8 July 2018
On the 8th July a number of colleagues in the Council's Adult Care Services (ACS) department are walking between the two major ACS office sites, Apsley near Hemel Hempstead and Farnham House in Stevenage. This is a distance of 22 miles (eek!) So why are we doing this?? This is a question we'll be asking ourselves after about a mile no doubt..... Well, the answer is that over the last year or two a number of well-loved colleagues within ACS have battled with cancer, and it is about time we did something about it. So we're doing this to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and to show our solidarity and support for those colleagues who are fighting Cancer as we speak. This is also the year of physical activity in Hertfordshire, and what better way to get active than a beautiful (but long, very long) walk through the County we love.
The team of walkers include Daryl Knight, Heidi Hall, Anita Raj, Tanya Moore, Rachel Mundy, Keith Dodd, Dani Bailey, Andy Mallabone, Iain MacBeath, Chris Badger, Tom Hennessey, Andy Lawrence, Laura Oxley, Andy Leather, Andy Jacobs, Sam Drake, Elaine Isherwood, Sharon Robinson, Catherine Sheriff, Michelle Dransfield, Amita Randhawa, Mandy Brindle, Beth Appleton, Nash Lallmahomed, Tracy Bowers, Magdalene Roy, Fateh Hamoudi, Kami Chahal, Jo Mayes, Kay Thompson, Kevin McAuliffe. It will be a noisy walk.
