I have been inspired by the work that The Anzal Begum Foundation has delivered in Tharparkar, Pakistan. This is also personal to me as The Anzal Begum Foundation is a UK based registered charity that has been founded in my late Grandmother’s name, Anzal Begum. 

This cause that I will be raising funds for is to provide Solar Water Plants in villages that are in desperate need for water, as access to clean fresh water is scarce or non existent, causing death and disease. 

I will be travelling to Tharparkar in October InshaAllah, to identify the village we will install the water plant in and also hold the groundbreaking ceremony with the people of the village . This will be one of many to revive the need of water that is the most basic need and right of humanity. Especially within an area where there are over 2500 villages with a population of 1.6 million people, and only 10% have access to clean water.

The installation of Solar water plants in these villages of Tharparkar, Pakistan will provide fresh clean water, sanitation facilities, livestock and farming tools to help these people to have better lives than before and sustainable futures. This is definitely something I want to be involved in and give the opportunity for my friends and family to also gain a share in this reward.
