About Future for Iringa Street Children
Providing the street children of Iringa, Tanzania, with a hope and a future.
We aim to support these vulnerable children living in desperate circumstances by providing food, shelter and education, and moral awareness within a Christian context. For many of these children, the regular support of food and input from our staff at FISCH centre, becomes the only constant they can rely on in an otherwise very fragile existence.
Our long term aim is for the street children to become self-sufficient, balanced, well rounded and valuable members of the community.
FISCH stands for Future for Iringa Street Children. We were founded in 2007, and became a Trust in Charity in the UK in 2016. Our ground activities, achieved by FISCH Trust in Tanzania, are holistic - they target physical, social and spiritual needs which include food, shelter within a family environment, education, moral awareness and children having the opportunity to hear about God and the love of Jesus.
Our long term aim is for the street children to become self-sufficient, balanced, well rounded and valuable members of the community. We hope that by our actions and presence in the community we might prevent children turning to the streets in the first place.
We have seen many children turn their lives around. Many have been re-united with families and relatives
