Story
The Coronavirus is already having a hugely negative economic and social impact across the UK, and preventing many vulnerable people from buying the basic items they need.
Glasgow Clyde College wants to engage with our community to help raise awareness and funds to support people through these trying times.
We are working hard to ensure we have a real, positive impact on the lives of our communities. We have the resources and the fantastic staff and students to make it happen.
That is why we are joining the FE colleges nationally in the FE Foodbank Friday Initiative. Since the programme started on 20 March, many colleges across the UK are pledging to take part.
As staff and students are now working and studying remotely, it is becoming difficult for staff and students to physically donate items. That is why we are joining this fundraising campaign, which aims to raise £1,500 so that Glasgow food banks can continue to operate despite social distancing taking place.
We are asking for donations during this very difficult time to ensure we come through the crisis together. All donations will be shared equally across all four Glasgow Food banks - North East, North West, South East and South West.
Thank-you for your donation.
